Design is a question of aspiration and not a question of taste. This is Rüdiger Schaack’s attitude. The product and furniture designer was born in Düsseldorf in 1973, graduated school with a degree in fine art and finished his carpentry apprenticeship with distinction.
He was awarded the Baden-Württemberg International Design Award while he was still at university. In the 12 years since he joined the office furniture industry, his designs received numerous awards such as the Red Dot Design Award, the IF Design Award, and the German Design Award.
Since the summer of 2017, he supports the Dauphin HumanDesign® Group in the development and design of ambitious projects for the brands Dauphin and Züco.

Entrepreneur, designer, scholar: Rido Busse has received many awards over the course of his 50-year career and he is still involved in the industry today with his "Busse Design + Engineering" institute in the USA. As a lecturer, sponsor of highly regarded design awards, juror and design expert, he is more in demand today than ever before – right across the industry with roles, for example, at Mercedes, EADS and Stihl.
Professor Rido Busse was the initiator of Plagiarius and the Plagiarius e. V. campaign and for many years now he has been campaigning, with the presentation of this negative award, against product plagiarism.
